Mac OS X Lion -- currently in its second preview release -- is indeed implementing a new API framework called Scene Kit, a developer tells AppleInsider. Occasionally rumored, the framework should assist importing, manipulating and rendering 3D content, reducing some of the burden on app creators. The technology is described as "consistent" with Apple's other graphical systems, namely Image Kit and Core Animation, while not requiring in-depth knowledge of 3D programming....
